Working on

an X Block sample--Now I just have to put it all together. The border is made up of the triangles that are cut off the blocks--they will take awhile to put together...especially if I sit at the computer all afternoon!!

A very little

time was required to finish this ancient UFO. Why did I wait so long?!? It is a chenille runner made with 5 layers of flannel--all that was needed was the binding and washing--the tedious part was done!!! It will be used to place hot dishes on my dining table.
Off to try to get presentable (hair) and then to the quilt block wars.

Sample is done

and ready to go to the shop. I want to do an apron in this fabric also, but another quilt sample needs to get a head start first, so I'm off to the studio like a herd of turtles..........

Dumfounded

and deliriously happy!! Becca posted that I won her Lilly apron--I never win anything--ask Lucy and Shawnee!! Just checked my favorite blogs before going to the quilt studio to finish the top on the shop sample and there was the news. Oh Joy!!!!

Weekend doings

Now on to a shop sample. My employer gave me today off since DH is home and it's Valentine's Day---and I'm gonna hole up in my studio!! The Man Child took us out to dinner Thursday night for DH's birthday (which was last month while they were both on the Slope), so I think we'll count it as Valentine's dinner too and have leftovers tonight. Unless DH cooks (which is normal in this house--he's much better at it than I AND likes to--which is more than I can say about me!!) OK, off the computer and out to the studio.

Early Anniversary Goodies

from Becca---mesh project bags, a beautiful wooden table for my sewing machine and a gorgeous foofy lime green party apron!! She gifted me with these early so she could keep the anniversary gift bag longer than a couple of months. Her Ann. is 3 months before mine, and since we use the bag every time, I get it for 7 months. That is the reason, isn't it Becca?!? I love the gifts and all three have been or are being used, even as I type!

It's Here!!

My beautiful apron from Anne Hansen!! I think she used the boondoggle pattern. It is awesome and she incorporated my favorite color--green! Also sent truffles from Starbucks, which means coffee--another of my favorites. I am very much loving this apron--thanks, Anne!
