Blast from the Past

Here is one of my favorite quilts with border detail. The flying geese are made from the cut off extra tiny half square triangles from the blocks.

Quilt # 11

is from Brenda's pattern "Porter-Bella (named after her two dogs!!) that I won at the Princess mystery class. (I am still working on it). Becca gifted me with this charm square pack ages ago and it was the perfect fit. The back is Snuggles by Moda and the first time I've used it. I've had it awhile but was too chicken to try it. Quilts like a dream!
This will make a great baby quilt since I didn't put the borders on.

Quilt #10

is a mystery quilt from the 2007 Northwoods Quilters Retreat. I got as far as clue #3. When I got home I put it away (another UFO!!). I found it a couple of months ago and was going to finish it and learned I hadn't picked up the rest of the clues!! A very dear friend loaned me her finished quilt so I could figure out how to put it together! TaDaaa.....

Quilt #4

is a wall hanging from a pattern by Mary Stenros of Willow Bend Designs. She lives here in Soldotna. I did the top years ago before she started laser cutting them, so it's now much easier!! I finally quilted and bound it last month.

#38

is from Bonnie Hunter's pattern, Dancing Nine Patch. Instead of scrappy 9 patches, mine are 2 colored, er, patterned.
This post is numbered 38, but I didn't include aprons, bags, etc. I finished this year. My grand totals are....(drum roll, please) Starts for 2015: 38 Finishes for 2015: 42 Hooray! I finished more than I started!! I am starting 2016 with only 23 WIPs---down from 36 in 2013 (my highest). We will see if I can keep up the momentum...don't hold your breath!
