Quilt #16

This started life as a 5 rail quilt, but I found another yard of fabric that wanted to play, so it's a 6 rail! I made as many blocks as I could with the 6 yards, then added borders.
I have a couple more that need their pictures taken and have more that need quilting (imagine that!!). I spent last week at our church camp crafter's retreat and actually got 2 tops done and a third just needs the rows put together. That is a record for me--I like to visit!

Quilt # 15

This cutie is at the shop--free pattern from the manufacturer with the kit. It was well written and easy to do, and now I have another baby quilt in my stash. Or rather I WILL have later!

Quilt # 14

is a mystery Becca did in 2009. It was fun and I learned to step back and look at my fabric choices before cutting it up and going for it!! Here are the fabrics:
Here it is on the wall close up before sewing together:
And the finished product:
See what I mean?!? And I really liked this quilt--and had a blast doing it. Oh, well. Live and learn.

Quilt #13

was started in April 2005 (another Princess Mystery designed by Glenese) and quilted and bound in April 2015. I like even numbers and 10 is nice!! This one is huge--100 inches by 120 inches. I've never made a quilt long enough to do the pillow tuck thing so didn't know til now DH doesn't like it doubled on his chest, so it hangs on the floor in the morning. But it sure is pretty! (Green is Good) Glenese named this pattern Reflections of Joy, so this is Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!!:
The close up is the true color.

Quilt # 12

This is called Christmas Jam and made of Christmas scraps of which I have plenty. In fact, this made NO dent in my pile!! It is lap size.

Quilts # 7,8,and 9

What a slacker--not in the quilting department, but in posting here! (Actually, I have an excellent excuse, er, I mean reason!) No photos til now. Does that work??? These three are the same pattern--three more babies are expected by mamas from church, so....
I know one is a girl and the other two are mysteries, well actually they are babies, but clueless as to sex of said children! So I'm covered since I have more baby girl quilts stockpiled. (The fabric was so cute I just made some earlier cuz I wanted to!!) DH took pics of the quilts I have finished, so more later.

Quilt # 6

This is a shop sample--the pattern is called Touchstone and will make a great baby gift or please a 1960's wild child. I love it!!

Quilt #5

This was started in a class in 2004. I didn't think there was enough contrast between the pieced strips and the main fabric, so started over again. BUT I had all these blocks done, so DH took half and arranged them to his satisfaction (that one has yet to be quilted) and I designed this half and finished it in January 2015. Another 10 year project. Sigh....
The color on the main fabric is really wrong--it's actually a dark navy, not brown---I do have better color sense than it looks like!!

Quilt #4

I bought the batiks for this using the gift certificate I got from DH for Christmas--the border I had in my stash that matched perfectly! the pattern is a basic 5 rail.
Just got home from running errands. One perk to doing them with DH is he springs for lunch! Saw a favored nephew at the restaurant--another major perk!!

#2

This is a tablerunner I've had done except the quilting for awhile--do you see a pattern here?!? I REALLY want to get all my completed tops quilted. I don't want anyone else to have to deal with them when I'm dead (or looking at the back and examining my piecing!!)

Quilt #1

This was a guild class in the fall of 2004 by Marci Baker--Tumbling Blocks. I finished piecing it in 2007, quilted it last month and finished the binding on January 1, 2015. Ten and a half years ain't so bad.....!

Quilt #22

Well, better late than never! The photographer (also known as DH) came home a day late--planes weren't flying down here on New Years Day, so he worked that day instead. And I'm giving him another chance--actually I have to since there are no back up photographers living here! This is a hunter's star I started in a class Nancy taught earlier this year, so it didn't stay in an uncompleted stage for years like some I have laying around!
Hope you all have a blessed New Year!
