Shop sample

in the window.  This is using the comma fabric line from Moda.  Remember me belly aching about the 18 60 degree mitered corners??  Well, they turned out great.  Kathy, a long arm quilting friend wanted to quilt it for me.  I was hesitant 'cuz I didn't know how flat it would lay (and I didn't want her to think I was a rotten piecer!!) but she said it was good--only one side was a little friendly!

Pat is in Portland at Quilt Market, so I'm holding down the fort and making executive decisions!  Actually, I'm rearranging, shuffling, and having fun!

Close to the finish line!!

I'm working on the binding of Easy Street!!  (It's 105 inches square, so I'll be at it awhile.)

I'm anxious to put it on my bed.  (DH: "How many quilts do we need for our bed?")   Silly question!!!!

Design Wall Monday

This is on my wall:

It started life as the 46 Ugly FQ bargello quilt.  And then it sat, all in strips til I saw Bonnie Hunter's scrappy trip blocks.  So it morphed into these blocks--still have a bunch to put together.  I was working on this at the crafter's retreat and ladies were trying to be polite and say something positive about them, but when I said they were 'sposed to be ugly fabrics, the relief on their faces was comical!  I purchased 100 FQ sight unseen for $100.00 way back when I first started quilting----won't do that again!!  DH thought the whole thing was ugly, but it reminds me of something our grandmothers would have done from their scrapbags!

Winner!!

Look what I won!!  This T shirt was tie dyed by Vicki and she gave it away!!
( DH likes the fish!)

Her Etsy shop is full of her hand dyed fabric (which I couldn't resist). Since I'm computer challenged, the easiest way for me to direct you to her is: go to Vicki under My Blog List .  She has tutorials and all kinds of fun and interesting things on her blog.

Thanks again, Vicki!
