Announcement

My BFF Becca is having a fantastic giveaway--you can go to her blog by clicking on her name(right side under my blog list). I didn't want more competition, but get an extra chance by telling you all :(
Am having a not fun day--laundry and errands in town--I hate going to the bank and post office, but someone's gotta do it and as I'm home alone, guess who gets the job?!?

Gotham table runner

is finished. I had to finish the binding on it so I could start the binding on Koi Reflections I believe that is the one area where I don't have multiple projects happening!!

Our weather is still warm--last night we had the same temperature as Port Arthur, Texas--they are on the gulf!! Oh, well, it's only February so we will get lots more cold weather, just when our hopes are high for spring, like in April!!

Old UFO worked on

Remember Becca's mystery?? Way back when?? Well, had the right color thread in the machine, so finished Clue #3. How sick is that?!? Does that mean I'm too lazy to change thread???

I also machine quilted a top that was sposed to be a Christmas present 3 years ago!! and the binding is ready to be hand stitched while watching (listening) to mindless drivel, aka chick flicks!

DH went back to work this morning, so we will see how much gets accomplished before he comes home. When I know I have 2 weeks, I sometimes(!) procrastinate a tad!

New project

Stashbusters is having a weekend cyber retreat, so thought I'd join in and get this shop sample done that I've had sitting and patiently waiting. Here is what got done today. Tomorrow is a workday for me, so will see how much more gets accomplished before Tuesday. The pattern is Merry Mosaic by Atkinson and I'm using the butterscotch Bali pop and latte batik for the background.

My apron arrived!!

It is SOOO cute!! Check out the bows! Thank you Christy! Besides the apron (on which EVERY block is serged!!), there were two kitchen towels, a silicone basting brush, 2 silicone baking mats and a cute cup with a silicone bottom(Christy, please enlighten me--what do I do with it??) The object of this swap was to spend no money except for shipping. Everything had to already be in your possesion. Very fun and creative. Thanks again, Christy!! And our wonderful Swap Hot Mama Valerie was on top of everything as usual!!
